"My wife and I moved into our new senior living home on Labor Day weekend 2020; Covid19 was an unplanned and predominant force in our lives. Over the years my physical health was worsening due to two total hip replacements and a failed revision of one of them, resulting in sciatic nerve damage. This caused chronic and severe pain along with a dropped foot. I also have had a total knee and shoulder replacement and rely on my walker or powerchair for mobility.
Eron became my personal trainer three years ago, working with me twice a week on a general program to measure my overall fitness level. I was not pleased with my results, but not surprised that I placed slightly below median for an 85-year-old male. Eron worked on researching and developing appropriate exercises for my diminishing abilities with activities I could still enjoy. After a few years of building up my strength and endurance, she recommended I start cross-training in the pool with another trainer. My training with Eron has allowed me to now endure walking the length of the pool and back unsupported, which before I could not attempt. She is always positive, fun, and consistently encouraging me to expand my efforts. This is a tribute to her efforts to maintain my ability to move and be active".

Exercise? Me? No way!
"My body has always been a No Exercise Zone. I dislike every type of exercise, and avoid it whenever possible. Partly as a result, when I moved into my retirement community I was overweight and felt slightly unsteady when walking the hallways. I was used to being tubby, but I wanted to feel more secure in walking so I signed up for personal training with Eron. We started working together in my apartment once or twice a week, and I made some improvements. Then a friend invited me to go on a trip to Europe. Although I was very worried about my mobility (or lack thereof), the prospect of spending time with my friend was too appealing to refuse. I took the plunge!
Since my departure was several months away we decided we had time to improve my walking, balance, and stamina. Eron and I met in the gym now instead of her coming to my apartment. She walked me through various non weight-bearing machines that simulate walking movements and upped the ante by adding exercises that would help me build muscle. Anyone who has traveled in Europe knows it has no ADA regulations, so I knew I would face some dreaded stairs. But Eron challenged me to confront my fears and she had me trudging up and down stairs (which I hated), sometimes holding bags once I started to show more progress and confidence in myself. My European trip was a success and throughout it I felt more secure in my walking, including climbing numerous stairways. And although I didn’t lose much weight, I also didn’t gain any. I dropped a dress size however, thanks to loosing fat and building muscle. I feel lucky to have made such progress with Eron’s guidance and I plan to maintain my gains by continuing my workouts. I still don’t love it, though".

"Our mom, Anne, has had the pleasure of working with Eron for 5 years. Throughout our mom’s health journey Eron has been a true professional and terrific advocate. Eron shows a deep understanding and acceptance of mom’s unique needs with professionalism and compassion. Eron has worked with our mother 1:1 as well as in group classes and has always been a positive and motivating instructor on a weekly basis. She is fun and encouraging and our mom looks forward to seeing her on a regular basis. Together, they have formed a wonderful and caring relationship. I wholeheartedly recommend Eron M to anyone seeking a dedicated, professional, and compassionate fitness trainer. We are extremely lucky to witness the differences she’s made to our mom".

"I love the enthusiasm Eron brings to our fitness classes. Her instructions and cues are always clear, and I like that she demonstrates exactly what to do and what not to do with each exercise. She leads her classes light-heartedly and they are FUN because of her lively nature. Her smiles are infectious. She shares a few highlights of her personal life (such as fishing and biking) so we get to know her as a real person as well as our talented fitness instructor".

"Eron has demonstrated flexibility and dedication by teaching classes back-to-back, and injecting humor and resilience into her handling of every setback. It has been a transition year for the fitness center, even without Covid to deal with. She makes classes FUN. She provides sound accommodations for those who may need them due to physical limitations. She is warm and welcoming and also shares her experiences biking and fishing. I have been a member of health clubs, YMCA’s, and community education classes over the years, and have enjoyed the leadership of many excellent trainers. Eron is every bit as skilled and professional as any of them. We are so fortunate to have her expertise and her personal approach".

"I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Eron over these past 5 years, first as her peer, sharing an office, and then later as her supervisor. Eron is an incredible asset to our fitness team and has supported the health and wellbeing of our residents and staff through her natural talents and passions, and growing expertise which are tangible to everyone around her. She is dedicated to her field of working with older adult populations and displays her hunger for knowledge by researching topics and discussing new ideas of how to make our program function better. She has a way of seeing dysfunction or opportunity, and then creating a well thought out, clearly planned solution. Without a doubt, she is a visionary leader".
